The new events hall for Halle is conceived as a versatile urban meeting place where community life, culture, and events converge. The ambition is not merely to build a large hall, but to create a robust, flexible infrastructure capable of intensive use and the seamless support of various usage scenarios. Central to the approach is the pursuit of a compact, high-performance building layout that delivers maximum utility within a manageable budget. The principles outlined below do not represent a fixed design; rather, they explore the site’s spatial potential and articulate an initial set of design ambitions. We deliberately leave room for evolving insights, participation, and co-creation, allowing the project to develop—in consultation with the city, its users, and the surrounding area—into a design with broad-based support.
